Another Oregon Scientific Fiasco! Don't buy it! September 25, 2007

This is my second Oregon Scientific product that lasted five minutes or less. Purchased this for my non-English speaking husband to learn some skills as it provides some activities in Spanish. It sat in the box until my nephew wanted to see it Sunday. After a few minutes of counting very boring boxes on the screen - the easiest game for a 5-yr-old - he was bored with it. It did not hold his attention b/c it asked him to count 4 boring black boxes about five times. And 10 boring black boxes once. There didn't seem to be a randomness or building up of skill level. He was bored by it, and I put it on the table. It was never in his hands. Two days later, I wanted to look at it, and it was dead. I replace batteries, still nothing. Like the other O.S. product that I lost money on, this item is not built correctly. The packaging is cute, but the programming and electronic connections must be so poorly put together that it fails after one use. Their customer service did not respond when the first item was defective, so I won't even bother with this second item. Oregon Scientific... it is a nice name, but their products and service are not reliable. Good luck. Consider other products.
